Church Life

Sunday morning service

We meet every Sunday at 10.30 a.m. We have a time of praise and worship and sharing of God’s word. We give room for the use of the spiritual gifts as led by the Holy Spirit. We often partake in communion as we remember together what Jesus did for us.

The children and young people go to their separate groups after the worship. Once a month the children and youth take an active part in the Sunday service.

After the service we have tea/coffee and cakes and enjoy fellowship together.

Every alternate Sunday evening from 7.00 p.m. is our interactive Bible Study on Zoom.

Coffee Morning/Warm Space

Wednesdays 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. is our Coffee Morning where anyone is welcome to attend to enjoy tea/Coffee with homemade cakes and lovely fellowship. We are also part of Warm Space which in the winter months is an approved Warm Place for those struggling with heating costs. Pastors Steve and Nelza are also available to chat or pray with anyone who would like confidential prayer and chat.

Prayer and Intercession

Prayer is very important in the life of our church. We are passionate in connecting with the Lord through prayer and worship. We pray often and in different ways: in small groups, on zoom and in the church building.

On Fridays at 10.30am we have an intercessory prayer meeting.  We pray for ourselves and our families, for our church, our nation, our communities, for the persecuted church and for Israel.

On Sundays there is also a prayer meeting before the service at 10am.

We also have seasons of prayer and fasting. We often arrange spontaneous prayer meetings on zoom or in the church building to pray for specific needs as they arise.

We also hold occasional 24 hours of prayer where we spend the night in prayer in the church.

Life Group And Bible Study

We believe that it is important to study and understand clearly the Word of God.

At the moment, we meet on Zoom every other Thursday at 7.30pm for a life group. This has been ongoing since the Covid lockdown. However, we are looking to expand this ministry to incorporate more people. We see small groups as a fundamental part of Church life where people get the opportunity to share more freely.

We also hold a fortnightly Bible Study on Sundays at 7pm on Zoom, studying individual books of the Bible together at a deeper level. We also plan to hold Bible studies in the church building in the near future.

Missions

As part of the Church ministry, we support organisations and Churches at home and abroad. Our most recent one was personally inviting a Church in the Ukraine to come and share with us their story and ongoing needs. We were pleased to host Zhenya Lemak from Christ For All Church, in Sumy for almost 4 weeks. Zhenya, alongside her husband Ivan, has continued to support their local community, and the military personnel, throughout the Ukraine’s conflict with Russia. It was our absolute privilege, alongside two other Churches in the UK, to be able to send Zhenya back to Sumy with a substantial amount of funds. Along with our other missionary contacts, our prayer and support will continue to be with them for the foreseeable future.

In support of missions, some of our children kindly use their creativity to raise money. This is encouraged and supported by the Church. These children are already using their talents in serving God’s Kingdom.

Baptisms

KCC wholeheartedly believes in encouraging both adults and children to be baptised by full emersion, in obedience to God’s Word, as they come to faith in Jesus.
